
The American Sleep Medicine Foundation (ASMF) awards grants to support the work
of research scientists who investigate the nature of sleep and sleep disorders.
Grant selection is based on an evaluation of proposals by experts who are appointed
by the ASMF. Each investigator in an ASMF-funded study must provide a conflict of

Physician Scientist Training Award – Best Science Category
The following institutions are ineligible to apply for the 2011 PSTA Award in the Best Science Category:
Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Louisiana State University – Shreveport, University of Pennsylvania and Washington University School of Medicine
Physician Scientist Training Award – Comprehensive Academic Sleep Program of Distinction
There are no eligibility restrictions in the Comprehensive Academic Sleep Program of Distinction award category. The ASMF encourages multiple submissions from the same institution. The Programs of Distinction include:
Brigham & Women’s Hospital Division of Sleep Medicine, University of Louisville Sleep Fellowship Program, University of Michigan Center for Sleep Science and Wayne State University Sleep Disorders Program
ABSM Junior Faculty Research Award
The following institutions are ineligible to apply for the 2011 ABSM Junior Faculty Research Award: Brigham & Women’s Hospital

ASMF GRANT CONTRACT
The ASMF requests that all applicants review the
sample grant contract prior to completion and submission of an application.
If grant is awarded, recipients are required to follow the terms of this contract
in its original form. All terms and conditions are final and non-negotiable. If
